Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Skeer collects, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have. Skeer is built around the principle of keeping your financial data yours. We do not sell your data, and we never show ads.

On the Free plan, all your financial data is stored exclusively on your device using an encrypted local database. Nothing is sent to our servers.
If you subscribe to Skeer Pro, your data is synced to Google Firebase (Firestore), operated by Google LLC. Firebase stores data in Google Cloud data centres, primarily in Europe (Belgium, region europe-west1). Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We have a Data Processing Agreement in place with Google. You can review Google's privacy practices at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Support emails are received and stored by our email provider. We do not use email marketing tools or send newsletters.
As a resident of the EU/EEA, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Right of access
You can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
Right to rectification
You can ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Right to erasure
You can ask us to delete your personal data. For cloud data, you can do this directly in the app.
Right to data portability
You can export your financial data at any time using the backup export feature in the app.
Right to restrict processing
You can ask us to pause processing your data in certain circumstances.
Right to object
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Right to withdraw consent
Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@skeerapp.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you believe we are not handling your data correctly, you have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority: autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
Skeer is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where changes are significant, notify you via the app or by email. Continued use of Skeer after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
